Summer Ikat

New summer colors are in! This warm weather color palette would be perfect for a summer beach cover-up or new pillows to brighten up your bedroom!

Paper Boat Logo

Paper Boat Logo, a photo by fable design on Flickr.
This logo was created for a new apparel company. Their products are beautifully hand-made so I chose to use my own lettering for the companies name to give the logo a more personal and "hand of the artist" feel.

daydreaming

It was fun to raid my girls marker's & watercolors. This fabric design is inspired by their girly doodles & numerous sketches floating around the house. I have a few yards impatiently weighting for me to make something, I'm thinking a twirly 3 year may get a new summer skirt.

Geometry

geometry

A new fabric pattern based on the endless doodles I use to do in math class.
Hopefully my girls take after their dad and actually take notes!

Can't wait to get the fabric...

Inspired by rug and quilt designs, this design has more detail and structure then I usually include.
I can't wait for the actual fabric to show up....because the verdict is out until I have the real sample!

Liz Cards

I designed these note cards for a client that wanted something she could use for her business & personal use. The colors & simplicity of the design relate to her business, but the style & addition of her favorite pug give it a more personal feel.

honey flower

This modern floral design is part of a honey series that I have created for a friends identity. I think it would look totally cool as a tote bag. (if I only knew how to sew!)

Spring Fever!

Along with spring fever I also get the itch to remodel! Since I won't be gutting bathrooms or ripping up kitchens anytime soon...I designed a bright breezy fabric collection for the girls room.
New drapes, duvets, & pillows will definitely make their room feel spring ready. And the mix of patterns are perfect for their different ages & styles.

"Pulling Her Feather's Out"

I named this peacock fabric "Pulling Her Feather's Out"
It turned out bluer then I expected. But, it was a nice surprise because
it looks great with the gray and the greenish centers of the feathers.
A lady commented that she was buying the fabric for a scarf,
which I think will look really cool.

And Yes, I believe I was having a stressful evening when I named this!

new Santa Fe fabric!

This was another option that I created when I entered the Art Deco contest.
I am very happy with the yellow option that was in the contest, and was
so surprised because I came in 4th! My first time in the top ten!
But I really like how the blue and orange printed in this fabric and could see
it as a cool skirt or chair upholstery.

2.2.12

Honestly, I hate road trips...

This design turned out cute and I love, love, love, Polaroid camera's.
But the name still makes me laugh, because if I was stuck in a van
on a roadtrip longer then 30 min I would go crazy.
That said, it still "sounds" cool to imagine going on a road trip
in college to the beach. (if the beach is very very close :)

so here is "Road Trip"

Art Deco

An Art Deco theme was Spoonflower's latest contest.
It was fun to research the styles and architecture from this era.
I love the colors & bold geometric patterns.
The designs all seemed like you should be dressed in a shimmering gown, at
a swanky restaurant with a cold martini.
So...after creating 4 of my own designs, I had to stop myself!
This is the one I chose to enter in the contest.

Logos are this girls best friend

I love creating logos and brand identities for clients.
I especially love it when they can be fun and playful.
This is a new logo created by Fable Design for a concierge service.

She wanted it to be bright and whimsical, we are both happy with the outcome.

Spoonflower's Cityscapes

"Laguna" is my latest entry in the Spoonflowers weekly contests.
It was fun to merge modern + graphic patterns with the old spanish style architecture.
Hope you like!
